Walton Spiritualist Church
Our Events & Calendar for 2020
At Walton on Thames Spiritualist Church we try to make a loving homely sanctuary for everyone to visit and join us in our events. Please contact us if you have any questions. Email is probably the most reliable form of contact as we are all volunteers and most of us do have day jobs. Feel free to text us or call if you'd prefer. All contact details are on this page or use the 'contact form' by clicking here. You will find committee members at the church on Wednesday and Sunday evening and sometimes through the week, who will be more than happy to show you around or welcome you to our community.
Our Wednesday service starting at 7.30pm will usually follow a pattern of a welcome message and greeting from the chair person and introduction to the evenings medium, followed by an opening prayer, the first song of the evening, maybe a short reading, then a demonstration of mediumship from the evenings chosen medium, another song, a closing prayer and then any relevant notices. Teas and coffees, biscuits and cakes are available after for those that wish to stay for a drink before they depart.
Our Sunday service starting at 6.30pm will usually follow a pattern of welcome message and greeting from the chair person and introduction to the evenings medium, followed by an opening prayer, the first song of the evening, a reading from the chairperson and then an address from the evenings medium. After the address a demonstration of mediumship from the evenings medium, then another song, a closing prayer and then any relevant notices. Teas and coffees, biscuits and cakes are available after for those that wish to stay for a drink before they depart.
Our Mission Statement
We aim to provide a sanctuary for all to visit. We welcome you to embrace and be a part of Walton Spiritualist Church with us. We hold services on Wednesday evenings at 7.30pm and Sunday evenings at 6.30pm with various events throughout the year. Please see our events page for details.
The present church building has been serving the community for over 80 years and we would like to acknowledge previous committees for their dedicated service to the church and congregation.
There is a public car park a 2 minute walk from the church which is free at certain times. Please see the car park signage for details. Please use the turning adjacent to the church turning, beside the Peugeot dealers to access the car park.
